I am looking for cermet trimmer coding (code printed on the trimmer vs it resistor value). I was not able to find this internet.

Thanks for your input. It seems that marking is manufacturer dependent (ie. Coding differs from Bourns to Vishay).
So I need to sort out producer first ?

Yes, you will have to know the manufacturer.

 

I have seen only two codes. The first is the actual value (22K) and the second is the IEC code (223 = 22 x 10^3 = 22 followed by 3 zeros).

Hmm... to clarify, you can get the simple value and tolerance from the last parts of the manufacturer’s code, the rest of the information about style and whatnot are specific to the vendor.

Sorry if that wasn’t clear. Since the value is printed in plain sight, so to speak, I assumed the TS needed the ordering information. You can also measure it with an DMM if it’s not fried.
