Car amplifier with reversed speaker + and -

Reversing the connections on a loudspeaker will not cause damage to the speaker or the amplifier.

The result of a reverse connection will be a 180° phase reversal of the acoustic sound wave. In a single loudspeaker system, this is of no important consequence.

With multiple loudspeakers, such as cross-over speaker systems and stereo systems, the result is phase cancellation and perceived reduction at low audio frequencies.

Ok. I maybe will try to find input plastic.

It is funny someway...

Reversing the connections on a loudspeaker will not cause damage to the speaker or the amplifier.

and then

Assuming that the amp isn't damaged.

Assuming that the amp was not damaged when the speaker wires were shorting.

hi again.

i have just assembly the whole device. I have some questions:

-> this is maybe for electricity at all - if i have doubt that on the metalic housing can exist voltage how can i make test with digital voltmeter ? In this device i didn`t saw green-yellow grounding. Maybe these 12 v are not a reason for grounding?

-> this device should be powered with 12v, right ? Can i use computer ATX here just for test because i dont have personal car.

thanks in advance

The questions are
Are all car audio amplifiers powered with 12v? I couldn't find info for power supply for 'mine'

Second one - if I doubt there's voltage on device X housing I can touch device housing with + of dvm and some "null" with minus. Where to take this null from?
I talk about the car amplifiers in this case.
I am interested for desktop computer psu, notebook adapters and others

Good night ;)

What is the model number of the amplifier? The spec sheet should advertise the audio output power.

All 12 V car systems have power supplies that require a 12 V input. They make power supplies that can power 12V devices of high power, like communications equipment. I have a 12V supply rated at 20 amperes or 240 watts.

What null are you talking about?
