One more thing the wire is rated for 65c is that enough for D.C. Circuit running about 2 to 3 amps?
Current handling is cross sectional area, you can download a look up table - temperature is mostly what the insulation material can withstand without losing its integrity.

DC is a steady value - AC is usually a sinusoidal waveform. The RMS value is specified for most applications - 220VAC should heat a resistive load just the same amount as 220VDC, the peak value of the AC is somewhere around 320V, but it also crosses zero between half cycles - the 2 extremes cancel out.

The thing I would be concerned about using that cord in an automotive environment would be abrasion resistance, especially if these were originally inside a larger encasement.

It will be inside the car in trunk area will that be ok?
Just make sure it doesn't lap over any sharp edges.

American military aircraft manufacturers aren't totally immune to getting that one wrong.

You can buy various clip on beading products or bond the wire to stop it moving and chafing with an adhesive/sealant.

If it passes over a weld ridge, just glue a strip of carpet between it and the wire.
