Can you simulate flyback in LTSpice?

That someone is true. Simulation programs use ideal component values and do not pick up distortion from the outside world and physics. Although they can give a good insight in how a circuit works. If you see currents of thousands of amps you know your circuit it not working if you only wanted 1 amp. If you simulate 1 amp and build your circuit it could possibly be true that it is somewhere around that 1 amps but not exactly the same as the simulation.
