Can Inductive reactance be Calculated?

The question I am posed is "What is the inductive impedance of a circuit that has a 300mH inductor and a 2.7Mohm resistor connected in series". I'm given no voltages or frequencies either. Could somebody show me how to calculate this out please. Thanks a lot JDR04

Without frequency, it CANNOT be calculated.

Sorry guys, gave you the wrong information. Its INDUCTIVE IMPEDANCE that is required and not inductave reactance as I originally posted.

Sorry. Same problem. You get to impedance, a complex quantity, by adding the real part (resistance) to the imaginary part (reactance), and it is still a function of frequency. You need to take a step back and review your basic definitions and understanding.

Thanks papabravo, my tutor has since told me that a mistake in the question was made by not including the frequency for the calculation. Now I'll look at it again and see if I can figure it out. Thanks for your help anyway -JDR04
