Need a hand in identifying a dead battery from a boiler control panel.

I can't remove it as its soldered in or the pins have fused to it as its been there since at least 1996 so I cant see what markings are or what voltage it is.

But the Varta is made in Germany. Maybe a knock-off from Singapore?

 

It appears to be the equialvent of a Varta Mempak.

It comes in different mounting configurations, include PCB. It is a 1.2V NiMH cell.

Hopefully original is NiMH and not Nicad as its an old pcb (circa 1996)!
