Can anyone help identify what this is?

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone has an idea as to what this is, the white
square feels like ceramic and is approximately 2'' square. I am thinking
its something to with semiconductor die, searched google came up blank.
Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like bonding pads used in the manufacturing of integrated circuits. The manufactured IC is placed on the middle square. Connecting wires are bonded to the IC and surrounding pads in order to make electrical connections from the external circuit board to the IC itself.

I agree on MrChips. It is called a leadframe. Not singulated, so you see 4 times 4 devices before placing the silicon and any bonding process.
