Can anyone explain the attached wiring diagram please?

Can anyone explain the attached wiring diagram please? Im not too sure how the toggle switch is working, can anyone explain it? And what type of switch is it, dpdt etc.. ?

It is a DPDT switch and it either connects the two wires from the octal socket to each other or it connects them to the octal plug.

Do you think its connecting pin 6 of the socket to pin 6 of the plug and pin 1 of the socket to pin 1 of the plug, but independently switched, ie not connecting all together? and what about the commoned end, are the connecting pin 1 and 6?

This should be an easy circuit for me to understand but for some reason its giving me problems :)

In one position, it connects socket pins 6 and 1 together, in the other position, it connects socket pin 6 to plug pin 6, and socket pin 1 to plug pin 1.
First position gives free games, second position connects the coin switch for payed games.

It looks to be a DPDT switch.

In the Freeplay position you have 1-6 shorted out on the octal socket.

In the Normal/Coin position you have 1-6 shorted out on the octal socket and the octal plug.

Does the switch have 3 positions? It could have a center off when nothing is connected.
