Good evening everyone,
I wanted to buy a digital oscilloscope (50-100MHz/ 1Gs) in the low budget range(~200 USD) from the US but I don't know where to get them. I am not a US citizen so my relative will get it for me and he doesn't have a background in electronics so he can't test it.

I don't know if it is a good idea to get a used one from eBay-US and I don't know where he can buy a new one, so suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Note: shipping it to my country will not be a practical choice

That is the exact same oscilloscope I bought a few weeks ago. I've been using it frequently and I'm quite pleased with it.

My old Tektronix packed it in and I just need a general purpose 'scope, no high frequency's or any high demands really.

The red light turns green when done charging. And it doesn't take too long for that. Probably less than an hour when charging from 30%

I'll be honest I wanted the classic feel of adjusting the encoders like the lab scope, I was thinking something like Rigol DS1054 or maybe Siglent or Hantek

No I think the green led lights up when completely charged. The red led is to show its powered on. Sorry for the confusion.

 

Yeah, I see now it says Over next to the GRN light, probably a poor translation for 'Done'!

As someone who is new to electronics, someone with a competent opinion on this subject recommend me a good oscilloscope around $300.

Just for general purpose-portable use according to the Youtube video and what Senor Martinez says, sounds it will suit my needs perfectly.

 

Yo, Max ... I just checked. And yes, the green light goes on when charging is done, although the red light stays on too even though the scope is turned off!
