Brook motor rewind

Appears to need a rewind.
We used to use a cold chisel to shear off the windings on one side of the core, then observe winding layout and count turns etc, punch out the winding's with a steel slot tool, you would need to make a former to wind the new coils on.
If this is a first time, it is not a trivial task.

Hello Max, thank you for your reply. Yes it is my first motor winding job. I'm 71 years old and repairing good old machines is my hobby. As a young man, he trained as an electrical mechanic for 3 1/2 years and later worked as a development engineer after completing his engineering degree. You learned a lot of theory, but rewinding an engine is certainly a completely different challenge. I have still one question: Which material is used to isolate the slots (foil name) What material are the coils bound and protected with?
Have a good sunday
Kind regards from Schoenwald in the Black Forest, Germany

If you go online and seek motor winding paper, the composition has changed a bit since I was doing this during my training.
It used to be impregnated linen cloth etc for lining the slots.
Look for motor winding materials and you should find all you need on line.
Max.
