Boost Converter - Power Losses

Hi,

From my image of the boost converter how do I calculate the total power in and out.

The input current is 100mA and input voltage is 2.9V so Power In = 0.29W

The output is 5V and the load is 50ohms so the Power Output is = 0.5W

what am I missing as clearly this cannot be the case
