Its university first level course. I have done some programming and electronics before. Wow its amazing how much work is needed just for proper setup of ESP8266 testing. I have used raspberry pi, arduino, pics, did not have any problems. Feels like that ESP8266 is just shit and not user friendly at all. Not even talking about not enough information online

In defense of the ESP8266....the 01 which you are using, was the very first one. They have what, 15 more? I'm not even including the ESP32. For what you are getting and the price that they cost, it opened up a world of IOT for a whole lot of people.

The term "User friendly" should be removed from language. If you want something easier to use, and with IOT capability, they are out there (Particle Photon comes to mind), but you still have to do the work.

I may try nodemcu development board. I would not need any FTDI or external programmer to test it. I have one but never tried it.

I guess that’s your opinion. IMHO, the work is not difficult, if one had taken the time to learn the basics. And not to make assumptions other than “what did I do wrong?”. And to learn the proper way of developing a project; with proven baby steps and not proceeding until the previous building block has been tested.

While I’ve never used an ESP8266, from what I’ve learned in this thread, I think it’d actually be very simple. Sorry that you’ve found differently.

I dont understand how do you find it simple  i am using the most basic circuit configuration possible and yet it is no working

Not much to learm, just connect rx and tx and expect them.to communicate to each other. But even this simple task, thanks to ESP developers can be headache, not talking about myself only (dosens of simmilar threads online regarding the same or simmilar problem)

I am not surprised that you have difficulty. I have come to realize that I cannot help you, so this is my last response. As to why you are having difficulty, it’s come down to my belief that you are the most disorganized, undisciplined and stubborn poster I have ever seen.

You can ignore that. I’m sure you will. Good luck in school!

I do not agree to you at all but thanks for your help anyway.
