Hello guys,
recently I have bought a motor driver L293D for my electronics projetc, I have test it directly without putting any capacitors like it showen in the picture attached, I have tested it only one time.
the question I want to ask are:
1) do I need to put capacitors like this? I'm using a 5V and a 12V DC motors ( I tested it with 5V for the first time)
2) does my driver L293D could be burned after using it without the capacitors?

No it wont burn out without the capacitors, they are for noise suppression and power supply ripple.
