Hi. Perhaps someone ordered a solder brand that works really well other than Ke$ter. What brand is it ? Had no luck ordering chinese crap from Aliexpress or Temu. :( Help with a link ! Not lead free, ~ 1mm is OK.

Do you have anything to trade? I have some 1 pound spools of 0.32" 0.032" 63/37 Alpha Metals Cleanline 7000 in the barter thread.

EDIT: corrected typo on diameter

Why does it need to be Chinese? Are you trying to draw down a cache of BRICS currency?

What makes a flux better than other ? I have to believe is the compounds in it, but those are never listed / revealed in the label. It is just as always "the best" and "improved" and "outstanding" leaving to the user to try this for that and the other solder in guess mode.

Am trying to use a 89.5%Sn - 10%Sb - 0.5%Cu, with this and the other flux and liquid and paste and rosin and... not convinced.
With 60%Sn - 40%Pb and whoknows what core; same thing.
I do not want to discard my 30 pounds spool. :(

Certainly a good question about flux. I would avoid any brand that compares itself to others. I suggest looking in the catalogs of major electronic/electrical sales organizations and see what they sell, then find it cheaper elsewhere..
