Walmart stupidly lists things from other suppliers in their "Marketplace", possibly in an effort to compete with Amazon. The "Marketplace" items are drop shipped from other vendors (somewhat like AliExpress) and the support you'll get from Walmart when things go wrong is somewhere between zero and none.

A bit off topic but Walmart (and to a lesser degree Amazon) is used by many "sellers" on eBay. You buy it on eBay based on the listed price and the seller buys it on Walmart for less than advertised on eBay and has it Drop Shipped to you. Kinda what sellers on AliX often do and never actually stock any merchandise they have listed for sale. My online purchases from Walmart have been problematic... And, Amazon usually has the same item for less.

A business that carries no inventory or risk, and gets paid before delivering a product, is actually kind of smart (from the business's perspective).

Normally, such a business could not exist long without exceptional customer satisfaction. But, hey, on the internet anything seems possible.

I suppose they get bad customer feedback, close up shop, then reopen under a different name (essentially for free).

The real question is, how far will Walmart's good will take them before they need to prohibit the practice.
