NASA's done this with a few other celestial bodies (for instance, a pulsar sounds like a crazy drummer). It's a fascinating idea, though some frequency upscaling/downscaling is frequently required, due to the RF frequencies at play. They're pretty neat.
One of the most fascinating recordings I've ever heard is the sound recorded by the Huygens probe while it descended in Titan. I was in awe because I kept thinking that those were real sounds from another world, and not a translation of radio emissions.

Not a job for me! Doing the hot work OR flying the chopper!
i live in a densely populated suburb just south of Boston. They were doing similar work on the high tension lines that run near my apartment building. I watched as several choppers, with visible workers sitting on a platform, did their job. Fascinating in person.
