Apes and monkeys in Zoos may be entertaining but anyone who has lived in close proximity with them knows better or should have. Same with pigeons... Ask people who live in areas where hunting is banned what they think about deer and not being able to grow gardens or ornamental shrubbery and flowers.

 

 

It comes from the sad fact of seeing good people injured and killed due to decisions that were scientifically (facts and figures) justified for X objective at one point in time. Eventually objective X was deemed to be not so important by those same great minds so they died for nothing.
