WTF?

MOSCOW (AP) — Residents of a city in Siberia don't need to fly off to tropical locales for picturesque selfies taken by pristine turquoise waters. Thousands of Novosibirsk residents — ranging from scantily clad women to newlyweds — have been busy instagramming near a bright blue lake nicknamed the "Siberian Maldives."

The lake is blue, however, due to a chemical reaction between toxic waste elements from a local power station. Environmentalists are warning people against coming into contact with the water.

"This water is saturated with heavy metals (and) harmful substances,"

The Air Force has issued a stern warning to the over half of million people planning to storm a top-secret US military base in the Nevada desert who are on a hunt to “see them aliens."

Over 600,000 people have signed up to an event called “Storm Area 51, they can’t stop all of us” which invites attendees to gather en masse before going into the air force base, which has long obsessed alien conspiracy theorists.

The satirical event, which is organised on Facebook and is scheduled to take place on 20 September, appears to be a joke given the high security and heavily guarded nature of the base.

The organisers said: “We can move faster than their bullets. Let’s see them aliens."

It's one hell of a drug.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...thon-among-dozens-reptiles-australian-prison/

A jungle python addicted to methamphetamine is one of hundreds of animals being rehabilitated at an Australian prison by staff and inmates.

The reptile, which the New South Wales Justice department did not name "due to legal reasons", was discovered during a police raid of a methamphetamine lab and required six weeks of detoxification while housed at the corrective services NSW wildlife care centre in Windsor, west of Sydney.
