That's was the reality for us poor Joe's overseas, we always planned on having 'more than one'. While in Okinawa for a beach party at White Beach it was cases of cheap beer and a tent to sleep it off when you were stuck on base while loading Marines. They had nice beach houses for rent but sleeping out was OK for us.
Old video of the base beach in the 80's from somebody. The last time my ship was there the base commander kicked the ship off base for a massive fight that happened at the beach club when they ran out of beer.:D

Ooooohhhh ... a beerless beach is an unforgivable sin!

Reminds me of a time in the 90s (I think) when I was at a DECUS * conference in Anaheim CA. A little ruckus broke out when the ran out of Sam. Poor management decision. When hosting a conference of thousands of people from metro Boston, make sure to order extra of the local favorite!

BTW, I'm not a Sam Adams bigot. I usually buy it because Boston Lager is a "safe" beer when entertaining. I'm more of a small craft beer consumer (which is how Sam started). I go for the type rather than brewer. IPA, Stout, Double Boch are favs. Tuckermans, Harpoon and Long Trail are some local brewers. Along with Magic Hat

Just for reference, have you had Rebel Rouser? Or even Rebel IPA?
Yes, we go through about three cases of IPA a month. Tried many, love a few. Actually, it is amazing how many taste essentially the same. Some a bit more citrus (from the hops), some taste artificial citrus (from the flavor/fragrance chemicals or the soap), some tast just too "hoppy" (like more is better and the most wins - it isn't snd they don't).

I prefer good beer at home in bottles because the local pubs are just so bad at cleaning their lines and taps and they tast like mold.

I've spent (unfortunately) time in MA. Most of it was at or near the old Varian plant in Gloucester, MA during the 90's. It's been a long time since I last used vaxc for a software project. We had DEC VAX 6310 computers.
One of my house 19 inch server racks is an old disc array cabinet from the VAX system.

https://www.sott.net/article/349484-Female-dragonflies-fake-being-dead-to-avoid-male-advances
Female dragonflies use an extreme tactic to get rid of unwanted suitors: they drop out the sky and then pretend to be dead.

Rassim Khelifa from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, witnessed the behavior for the first time in the moorland hawker dragonfly (Aeshna juncea). While collecting their larvae in the Swiss Alps, he watched a female crash-dive to the ground while being pursued by a male.

The female then lay motionless on her back. Her suitor soon flew away, and the female took off once the coast was clear.

A cargo ship that was carrying sheep from Romania to Jordan smashed into a Russian military vessel in the Bosphorus Strait on Thursday, April 27. The Russian ship sunk after its hull was pierced in the collision, according to Digi24.ro.

The Russian ship, called “Liman”, was part of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea. It was a reconnaissance vessel and was apparently returning from a mission in the Mediterranean Sea. The 17 sailors on the ship were rescued.
