And I find your sensitivity offensive... you, privateering snowflake... :p ...

And speaking of family and white man... my brother just got his DNA test back, trying to trace our ancestry... it turned out to be something like 70% european-caucassian, 7% Norwegian, 7% Native American, a dash of Italian and Dutch, and about 1% Asiatic (WTF?) ...

Which leaves me wondering... who the hell am I???
If parents are coming unreliable as you finally discover in life, imagine what to expect of older ancestors in the line...! :( :p

"The Eagles sue Hotel California"

http://hotelcaliforniabaja.com/history.html
The Hotel California was founded in, 1947, by a Chinese immigrant named Mr. Wong. After three years of construction, it opened on February 5, 1950,. Mr. Wong lived in the 16 room hotel with his wife and seven daughters. Wanting the locals to believe he was Mexican, Mr. Wong changed his name to Don Antonio Tabasco which didn’t work as well as he had planned since he soon became known as "El Chino," meaning "The Chinese Man" rather than Don Antonio Tabasco.

The Todos Santos hotel was named Hotel California when it opened in 1950, but went through a series of name changes before a Canadian couple, John and Debbie Stewart, bought it in 2001, and according to the Eagles began using the original name in marketing.

At least they can argue that it had that name way before the Eagles made it into a song... Besides, who would want to stay in a hotel in which "you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!"?

http://www.keloland.com/news/articl...ge-becomes-ghost-town-after-beer-stores-close
A Nebraska village blamed for fueling alcohol-related problems on South Dakota's Pine Ridge Indian Reservation remained a virtual ghost town Monday as mental health and substance abuse advocates arrived to help people at risk of suffering from withdrawal.

The advocates found empty streets in Whiteclay, a sharp contrast from the usual scenes of public drunkenness, loitering and violence in a town that sells millions of cans of beer each year near the home of the Oglala Lakota Tribe. As of Monday afternoon, no one had requested their services.
...
The push to offer services comes amid a major shakeup in the town, which has nine full-time residents. All four of Whiteclay's beer stores closed on Sunday after state regulators refused to renew their licenses, citing concerns about inadequate law enforcement. A district court judge overturned the decision not to renew their licenses, but that ruling was put on hold while the case is appealed.

In a separate case, the Nebraska attorney general's office has filed a combined 22 charges against the stores, including bootlegging and selling alcohol after hours. An attorney for the beer stores filed a motion Monday to dismiss the charges.
The four stores sold the equivalent of 3.5 million cans of beer each year to the officially dry Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

The drunks will just move on to the next town with a beer store.
