I saw the on Quora today - pix of electrical connections done by amateurs... thought you all would get a kick out of some of these!
These are HOSE clamps!

Ingenious way to keep a circuit breaker from continually tripping!!!

What we used to call the "Anaconda Fuse". The one with the machine screw into the mains feeder was my fave.

 

It's not only the amateurs who do daft stuff. One of the places I worked I found a cartridge fuse that the 'professionals' had replaced with a nice thick piece of wire!

 

I agree about the guy with the screw into the mains. He gets a star.

Overall, I was OK until the CB with the retainer, then I lost it.

Reminded me of the "Lincoln Fuse" the penny behind the old screw-in glass fuses.

Tomato sauce is acidic, and very conductive. Just sayin'...
