Link works for me, but not too many details. On searching Google, it seems the strength to weight ratio is as good or better than titanium. I would like to see how it performs at high temperatures and over time. How does it compare to titanium for corrosion? Can it be welded? (Apparently, some aluminum-steel alloys can be welded.) How easily is it machined?

Of course, it is a preliminary report and is certainly well worth watching.

I wonder what its performance could be in marine environment.

My experience is related just to small parts where Aluminium does not seem to stand well. Also I worked in full aluminium "wave piercing" ferries but they were brand new when I met them.

And if it can be welded... how well does its properties hold up?
