A more visual/practical book recommendation?

I'm wondering if there are any good books out there that teach electronics in a more practical way.

A bit like the MAKE book.

One where you build a small circuit then it would show you where to probe it for measurements, explaining what things mean. Maybe tweak/upgrade it. That kind of thing.

I'm more of a practical/visual person. I easily get bored with books that are all theory/maths with little to no practical stuff.
