I am replacing a residential intercom system with a new IST system. New system is 8 ohm speakers and I have a couple 45 ohm speakers in a vaulted ceiling. Can I hook up the 45 ohms to the system? Thanks for replies!

 

Can be connected with no harm. Volume will be lower. Perhaps if there is a volume control, raising the outputted level will be satisfactory.
