Hey everyone

Im desinging a ciruit that will control twp relays when power is applied to the circuit. I've done a little research and I think a monostable multivibrator circuit should work for me. If I understand corretly as soon as the circuit sees an input voltage, the 555 can turn on a relay that would hold for a certain amount of time? Even if my input stays contantly on?

Thanks
Mike

Yes, that's true. But I recommend sketching out your idea into a schematic for review. Worth a thousand words.

Ok here's the schematic. I through it together pretty quick but here it goes. The input is tied directly to ground because i want the trigger to be the board actually getting power.

I based the circuit on this page I selected the values of C4 and R1 based on the equation on that site so get a 1 second timing period.

Does this seem like its going to work?

Thanks again
Mike
