Respected Seniors,

I am using IC4017 as a frequency divider to convert 100khz to 10khz. But the system designed by me is not working in Proteus.
I think there’s a problem in my circuitry please help me rectify it.

I have generated 100khz wave through 566 IC.
Following are the connections of 4017IC:
1. Output of the 566 is connected to the pin14 I.e clock of 4017.
2. Enable pin is connected to ground.
3. The MR pin 15 is connected to Q4 (N/10 ) to convert 100 kHz to 10kHz.

I think you've made a mistake. Q4 is the 5th output and 10 is the pin number.

You dont have to connect Q4 to MR. Just leave Q4 unconnected and connect both E and MR to GND. But be aware that the waveform has a duty cycle of 10% .

Just found out that you can get a 50% duty cycle from CO.:D
