I got a 2.2Meg resistor + 4.7uf capacitor + a diode and I got about 2 second of period, using a HC132.

 

Many shock sensors are a small coil spring (conceptually, like the spring in a ball point pen) that is fixed on one end and can pivot 360 degrees at the other end, surrounded by a ring. Simple electrical contact, stiffness of spring equals activating force.

is his circuit valid for every 555 IC Like the LMC555CMM?

The circuit I posted should be suitable for all flavours of 555 (but I don't have the facilities to check).
