Hey folks,
I just picked up one of these ZK-4KX buck converter / booster devices as I had watched a video about using one for electronics troubleshooting. Does anybody know some applications these are good for, or even some guideline advice to keep me from cooking it?

I originally picked it up to try and use it as a charge controller for a small wind generator I'm building, but it may not meet my needs as the input voltage needs to be there all the time to keep the settings from what I've been reading. Can anybody who has one of these confirm this?

Can you send a good picture of the board? We might be able to reverse engineer it. Somewhere the data is stored and that is probably powered by the input voltage and should be modified to be powered by the battery.
