How do I use the zener diode in LTSpice? I am not allowed to set the breakdown voltage or anything in the zener diode's properties.

When you select the regular diode symbol at the top of LTSpice you can then right click it and select from some installed zener diode models. If one of these is nor close enough to what you want you will need to find your model one line.
Two good sources are yahoo users group for ltspice or ltwiki.
