Says 9-in-1 USB-C charging station. I see 4 USB-A and 2 USB-C ports and one 120VAC outlet on the side. Don't think it's a 9 port charging station but you might think that's what it's supposedly representing. Don't see a wireless charging station on it and couldn't find anything that says so. It has high ratings and over 500 reviews.

"This phone fast charging station rated 1250W, could turn 1 socket into 6 USB ports and 3 outlets"

i see outlets on both left and right side. 3rd one must be on the back. back side is not shown directly but video shows user plugging into back side outlet.

Didn't watch the video. Guess I will now.

[edit] OK, yes, Three 120VAC outlets. One on left, one on right and one on the back. 9 in total.

Charging, Yes Excellent!

Connectivity, No

I have a 4-port extender plugged into a port? (never bothered to see just what USB version that port is?) on the rear of my tower that clamps to anchor it on one of the risers on my bench for the instruments. Not so great for charging nor connectivity. It kinda works. The 4 ports on the front of my tower are constantly charging various phones and tablets/power bricks so no spares easily available unless I unplug something without the extender.

Wife's desk is a mess with wires and adapters and such. Want to streamline her work area with this multi-port charging station. Would like your opinion on it please.

The thing is, all of these chargers only go as high as their wattage rating so if using two ports the power could be divided between the two. That means a 60watt unit could be putting out 30 watts and 30 watts in some cases.
Also, sometimes the USB C port puts out the max power while the USB A ports will only be able to put out a lower power level even if only one is used. So you have to check each output not just the total wattage.
I did not get chance to check that one over, but you could try other sites too that have the same model as their catalog page may have more information.

When it comes to power adapters, I prefer something from a more familiar brand, like Anker, Ugreen, j5create (that might be stretching familiar a bit), Apple... that I buy at thrift stores and yard sales. Cheap stuff can deliver dirty power, poor isolation, and probably a limited lifespan.

If she has a laptop with USB-C PD charging, be sure a SINGLE port can deliver the required wattage while still supplying rated power to the other ports. This is where some sleaziness can occur. Quality supplies will include a table showing the allowable combinations.

Make sure you have enough USB-C ports for high-draw items. Most phones will have high-rate charging from a USB-A port if they support QC (QuickCharge).

Largely it's not for charging things that need to be connected, charged then taken away but rather to keep her wireless keyboard charged. That hardly makes it wireless, but be that as it may. There's also the cell phone that doesn't need to be charged quickly, just charged. If it takes an hour or six hours - doesn't matter that much. There's also a walkie-talkie that charges via USB-C which can be plugged in and left alone. When she needs me (when I'm up stairs in the wood shop) she can call for me. Keeping these things off of the computer leaves room for other peripherals and not take away connectivity from the computer.

I don't NEED 9 ports; just a few to free up the computer. iMac (2024) has four USB-C ports. Two of them are thunderbolt ports and the other are just regular C ports. Taking them away to charge a phone makes no sense. Having a power strip with a bunch of wall warts takes up a lot of space. So I'm looking for a better way to handle the need. Nothing is critical, just an approach to cleaning up her desk. Which I need to build her a new one. The current desk is falling apart; what with nail polish, coffee and a host of other stuff.

I don't see anything that says this is a USB *hub*, just a charger. It mentions plugging in a printer, but that must be just for AC power, not data comm.

Yeah, no. Don't need data. Just keeping things charged up. Leave the data to the computer ports.

Personally I'd prefer more C ports and fewer A. Once you start making the transition to the more modern C, all those A ports start to feel obsolete. It's hard to anticipate the future but I don't see A being a part of it.

That all said, if it meets your needs today and in the near future, that's probably fine. It's not like you'll still be using it 20 years from now.

Should that I live that much longer. It's already bad enough that I need to hire 10 year olds to program my VCR (or whatever that modern device is). Grandkids are a good investment. But they think "Buy" instead of learn how to build your own. How to imagine solutions to problems no one has yet encountered. Now they have AI to do all the thinking for them. Extinction looms like the grim reaper standing across the street from my house.

Wonder if maybe I should grab that old ATX PS and build my own hub with dozens of A's and C's.
