Hello all, another 3 way lighting question.....but a little different. I have purchased a Ram Promaster that I am custom outfitting for work and whats the fun in that without cool lights? I with have 4 strips across the ceiling that i want to control with rocker switches on the dash and by the back door. Seems easy right? Throw some SPDT's in there and done. Here's where I go beyond what I know. I want the switches to be LED illuminated legend SPST rocker switches. I talked to someone that said that can be done but I will need to have a relay on each switch. Still easy enough, but I'd imagine that I will need to run wires between the two relays. Anyone have some insight on this they'd be willing to share? Much thanks in advance.

All you need is illuminated LED rocker switches. Just switches which are illuminated a Google of 'illuminated LED rocker switch" should bring up a few dozen flavors. Some are illuminated in both On and Off positions and some only illuminated when On.There is no need for relays as most LED strips are relatively low current easily handled by the switch contacts.

Here is an example of a three pin (+12V, Ground and 12 Volts Out) switch capable of switching 20 amps DC. Just find a look you find visually appealing, make a few holes in a mounting plate and wire the switches. I see no need for relays?
