I am looking for an automatic air freshner spray machine which can press and hold the nozzle (in the spraying machine) for a prolonged time than the currently existing clog-wheel based mechanism which are spraying just a split second.
I have two options.
1. Buy 4 devices of clog-wheel
or
2. Find and Purchase a device which can press and hold the nozzle longer.
Which you recommend.

What is an Air Freshener Spray? In my home and city, the air is very fresh because cars have pollution controls and there are no more smoking diesel trucks.
Have you noticed that airline jet airplanes do not produce smoke anymore?

Wish this were true of Utah. Can't stand the black smoke they Deliberately make. Was watching a truck show and the guy on the TV said "Black smoke is so cool." No, it isn't! But since then I see it everywhere.

Anyway - back on topic:
Those air fresheners are designed to produce a single puff every time you press the nozzle. Even if you hold the nozzle for 2 or more seconds you only get the initial spurt. Having a machine that can hold the valve on the can down for longer periods of time won't produce any longer a puff, nor will it dispense more product. The product is concentrated. Longer spray times only means you're huffing their product. Would not advise doing that.

I, too, am wondering why you need four times the volume.

First, it's "Cog-wheel". Second, it's better known as a cam and gear mechanism. It's programmed to dispense every (just guessing) 30 minutes. Perhaps you can buy or set them for shorter periods of time. But in the end you're just poisoning the air you breathe - and for what? Smell? If you want flowery smells get flowers. They don't poison the air.

I have never come across a spray can of anything that gave a sort spurt when pressed and held, except for those that were deffective. Of course I NEVER use a spray to cover other smells. I really despise the stink that they deliver.

Here's one now:

Note in the description the can is "Metered" meaning it delivers a single puff per depression of the spray nozzle. That's what you find in many public restrooms, restaurant RR's, business RR's.

One place I worked one of the other employees would take the can out of the dispenser. Sitting in the stall next to me he started spraying and spraying. I counted over 50 puffs before he finally quit. My nose was burning. Not from human smells but being sensitized by the spray those cans deliver.

I did not comment about the toxic properties of the sprays, but my high school chemistry teacher did explain to us that if some chemical smelled bad it was probably toxic. Then he quickly added that just because it did not smell bad was no sign that it was not toxic. Quite interesting, really.
