I am a retired Technician. I had to retire due to medical reasons. I am trying to regain my ability to work with electronics again as a hobby. There is so much I have lost. But will keep working on it. I love electronics. Their is so much you can do and learn. I used to work for one of the biggest semi-conductor (Chip)maker in the world.
Let me guess. Company's name begins with i?

Welcome to AAC. Hope you have a long and pleasant stay with us.

DEAR FRIENDS :
I'm AHMED RIYAZ . FROM , MALDIVES . NOW I'm CONTINUING ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONICS . I NEED YOUR HELP AND FRIENDSHIP .
thank you .

I am studying Electrical Technology at Northern Technical College 2nd year. I need help in my studies and I should say All About Circuits was recommended to me by one of my lecturers.

Hi Everyone, I'm not new but I don't post much (if any before this). I'm finishing my major in Environmental Technologies this fall. I come here for information on circuits and electronic components. I'm no electronic's expert, but I have built two solar panels and am now going to make a charge controller for them. There's just something about the "DIY" that appeals to me.

Im a electronics novice at best. Its always been a hobby in line w/ many hobbies. All seem to be things that create or improve things. With journeyman status @ carpentry, pipe fitting, & pipe welding I recon thats obvious. Jack of all trades and master of few so to speak. Im guessing this is where my intro goes ?!?

Hello Everyone,

I am a software developer from South Africa. I missed my calling, I should have become an electronic engineer :( But now I'm pursuing it as a hobby. I'm an utter noob but taking it one step at a time.

Thanks for a great forum.

Just thought I would introduce myself and give you some background.

I have been into electronics since I was a kid, my father bought me a soldering iron for my 8th birthday and it's remained one of my favourite things ever since. I did go to college to do BTEC National electronic engineering but at the time I had since discovered electronic music and being a teenager, decided I should leave the electronics course at the end of the first year to do a sound engineering course, biggest mistake of my life!

Since then I have been doing mainly music related things but after some years I have decided to start again with the electronics after getting a fairly decent job with some money (music didn't pay well!)
Went out and bought a solder station, oscilloscope and started buying PCBs for modular synthesizer modules to build and a huge selection of components. The modular building is good but I want to start designing my own circuits again. I think I have found the right place to help me out :)

Hope that wasn't too long a post!
