Hello
When dealing specifically with audio, is there a standard RMS voltage level that all systems use for line level inputs/outputs?

thanks to anyone who knows!

From somewhere in the back of my mind comes the standard of 0dB=1mW into 600ohms, and that's .77vRMS

But I don't think many manufacturers stick to it - certainly not for Japanese domestic audio equipment.

Standard "line-level" input/output voltage in the audio field is generally understood to be 300mV (RMS) unless specified otherwise.

Hope that helps,

Hi,

No doubt about the lack of standards. 1.25 volts was my understanding of audio line level, but I can't recall the source.
