That would be so nice though.Only you can block yourself from seeing posts. O.P. (other people) can not stop you seeing what they post.

Yep same here except it was the 1970 - 80's. Cripes I can still remember when we got our first vehicle with a FM capable radio in the mid 80's. Whole new world of music to listen to!It depends. I spent summers in the 1950's on a farm in Kentucky. The same 10 songs played over and over, all crying about, "My hound dog died", "My pick-up truck is broken" or, "My sex partner cheated on me". Gee, the world is so awful and I'm so lonesome I could die. That was enough to put me off listening to the radio for about 10 years.
Back to the city and add ten years, and my musical world lit up!
That's when I bought a guitar.![]()
My kind of music! Toss in some ICP and a bunch of hair band and mixed classic hard rock from the late 70's on up and there you go, That's my life playlist!Over the last decade or so my musical tastes have diversified; I listen to lots of kinds of music now, but my main staple has always been rock. When I was in high school (2000-2004) there were 3 rock stations, and they played hard(ish) stuff like Metallica, System of a Down, Korn, etc. The softest they went was like Blink-182, and we complained that wasn't hard enough. That was near San Antonio. Now over a decade later I live in Houston, and there is only 1 (ONE) rock station, and on their best day the hardest they play is AWOLNation; Mostly it's Mumford Sons type stuff. It's alternative at best; really it's just another pop station.
Now I'm not saying that I don't like Mumford Sons, Kongos, Arcitic Monkeys and all that, I do like it sometimes. But other times I want to hear the soundtrack to something being destroyed.
Rock on!My kind of music! Toss in some ICP and a bunch of hair band and mixed classic hard rock from the late 70's on up and there you go, That's my life playlist!![]()
From your reaction, i guess the word Phd is kinda threatening to you. or you have some inferiority complex. ... so, relax buddy, Phd is just a word, it doesn't mean that the one who has this degree must know everything. Phd students work on very specific problems.A Phd in what? You mean you can not conceive why others have different music preferences?
Sounds like a Phd candidate. Children teaching children.
Who told you that you were capable of deciding an injustice? Another Phd?
And no....I don't think you kinda get anything. You have been put into a coma. Your mind is too closed to be a Phd.
It's just an off topic opinion. A phd does not impress me......it warns me.
Ugh... Stryper? Come on man....Rock on!

Henceforth, if you don't like any of my topics or comments, you don't have to reply, just go find an interesting topic for you, and try not to be too judgemental.
If you have any problem with me stating the word " Phd " on my profile, give me your Email, we can talk about it.
I met many professors in several opportunities, and they were modest, .. but you seem to have issues.
In the summer time many of the small town put on street dances with either live or DJ music which are usually lots of fun. It's 50s/60s night. Lotsa hits.
After sunset, there were a bunch of these in the grass at the concert venue -- like little robot bugs with bright green LED eyes. Maybe I don't get out enough, but after 30 years in S. Florida, this is the first time I saw them.
Are these men or women ?Rock on!

Nice reference to the 45 RPM record. You might have to expand on it when besieged with inquiries. If someone could really tell you what makes a hit song, they'd be rich. There are many examples of record companies putting hit songs on the B side of records because they didn't recognize its hit potential. They chose another song for the A side that never went anywhere.
YesAre these men or women ?
Men. These guys were wearing "glam rock" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glam_rock androgynous costumes and play "Christian Rock" music. They now wear more biker/leather costumes. I only know this because of controversy/complaint about thus band and the person playing this music at a school function. The intersection of "separation of church & state" with "free speech" and "artistic expression". No winners with that one.Are these men or women ?
Most dangerous question you can ask todayAre these men or women ?
More dangerous than asking "Are you a terrorist. ?"Most dangerous question you can ask today![]()
Of that type, never seen one myself but heard of, in rural areas here. The most common (I''ve seen them quite often, as a kid) are those with a luminous appendix, showing up in warm summer nights. After sunset, there were a bunch of these in the grass at the concert venue -- like little robot bugs with bright green LED eyes. Maybe I don't get out enough, but after 30 years in S. Florida, this is the first time I saw them.
