Hello everyone,

I am looking for information on the part shown below. My overall goal is to design and buy a circuit card and use these as a semi-permanent connection without the need of soldering. I REALLY need the library for this part so I can use it in eagle. I am guessing you can make parts in eagle as well but I am not totally sure how to do that.

I am looking for any/all the following information:
  • Eagle library that contains this part
  • Datasheet
  • Part Number
  • Where to buy

The generic name is terminal block. this type is sometimes called a cage block, because the little cavity where you insert a wire is called a cage. Phoenix (green), Wiegand (orange), AMP (white) and many others make them. They are available from almost all electronic component distributors.

Depending where you are, they can be had from Digikey etc, they come in different current ratings, also you will notice a slit in the side of the terminal block, this is in order to build one's of any length in multiple of two's, as they just click together before mounting.
Max.

Thanks for the info. I was actually wondering the current ratings. I need them to withstand around 2A or so.
