Can someone give me some specs on this little blue guy? It's 30 years old. The only writing on it are two lines:

I'm assuming it's a capacitor, but I can't figure out the specs on it.

Tantalum electrolytic capacitor, 1μF/35V maybe?

 

Looks like this tantalum capacitor.

 

They are polarized and go POP if put in backwards.

That would be my guess also. Take a look at how it is connected in circuit to the adjacent chip(s), it may be used as a decoupling capacitor.

Note the + sign also on the body. Definitely a tant, 1 uF, 35 V.

Deffo a Tantalum cap, they make great Explosives when Connected Wrong way round...!!!!
