What is DCOM in Electronics

DCOM is probably somebody's pet term for "DC Common", which is a much better term than"ground", that mythical zero-impedance plane where the voltage never deviates from zero. Mostly, "true ground" is found in simulators, and over-simplified descriptions.
Unidentified acronyms are the enemy of clarity, and indicate a lazy writer at work, or at least a writer who has no clue..
