Usually i have mounted LCD displays of the tablets which are only with one flex cable.
This samsung stuff is "new to me".
Does anybody know what is this cable for

Confirming "Fading along the back light" -- the 7-th second of your upload - like supports this e.g. not the picture but (a part of) the "monitor's" power flickers . . . before entering some sort of "low light mode" -- we can assume the power control acting funny (i'm not familiar with smart phones physiology)

if you are sending some commands to display from custom interfaces (driver) check your timing
most likely it's not the cable to blame coz everything else seem to work
as i already said i'm not familiar with smart phones physiology
