5 components and i lost the parts manual for em....can anyone identify em clockwise starting with the big blue one (i think it's a capacitor, but it's pretty big)

 

let me guss, from left to right, top to bottom:

LDR, Capacitor, Capacitor, Crystla, Fuse

 

You missed the red insulation at the extreme upper right

I think the fuse is really a reed switch.

 

I would say that's a reed switch not a fuse.

 

Here's my guess...

EDIT: Come to think of it, the "MOV" is probably just a capacitor, can't imagine what good a 400 MOV would be doing among these components...

I think your guesses are almost correct. The crystal is most probably a 32.768kHz crystal used for timekeeping. What suggest is a fuse. May more likely be a part from a reed relay.

 

There should have been more Bacon and Cowbell in that pic.

If that crystal rattles when you shake it, it may be a rollerball switch(tilt sensor)

I shook the crystal and it does rattle, so i guess it's a rollerball switch!
