I have a humidifier Westinghouse model WSHUJ2195 that stopped working. Red light flashes, thought it was the fan but that does work. Trying to get the manual as not clear how it's supposed to work, also a cct diagram for trouble shooting. It is about 3-4 years old. Also any ideas appreciated.

 

OK, the humidifioer has ceased to humidify. But the red light comes on instead of the green light, so it does have power getting in. The red is to indicate that it is out of water. So the first place to check is the water level sensing float switch. A lime build up can cause it to stick in the down position.
But if you have removed the float, with the magnet to clean off the lime build up, and put it back on in an inverted position. THAT might be the problem. THAT happened to a relative of mine, who did not realize that the magnetic float switch was polarity sensitive.
