Does anyone have one or two of those DB9 RS232 flex cables with a 10 pin IDC at the other end, they would be willing to send me?

I could probably make one up (I thought I had db9s around here somewhere) but those cables form the PCs are so much nicer.

I could cover shipping a a small fee for your trouble.

 

Any old computer stores in your area, these things were common as dirt 10yrs ago.

 

The way the big recyclers went after your plastics,they have picking
up old computers and cables and parts.They resale It overseas.
People are restricted on how they rid of It. Unless you find a member
with what you need this stuff is being picked by the tons.They make it sound
like you are required to turn it in on certain p.u.days. Good luck in the U.S.

Did you send me your address in the package you sent? Can you do surface mount?

How about something old. classic should work but untested? If you like old stuff I think you will like it. But you need to be a programmer.

@ VooDoo ,Going thru some boxes,found an old weller solding gun that works.
A solder sucker that still works,a high voltage probe. Will take the
high voltage by the plasma T.V. shop that I was hanging around
last week to test it out, a major repair place,no high voltage probe.
Trying to get to know the guys better.One of the guys is polite the
other very cold. Will stop by when he is making his hotel rounds
that they have contracts with. These guys on the Forum are looking for jobs,
if they had a few bucks they could start with a small motel. Buy
20 plasma T.V.'s and two spares and you are in business. They
only have 2 or 3 boards to change out.They have cable in the repair
shop with matching tranformers.That means you could supply some
matching cable to the rooms.There is all ways hope,you have to go
for the gold .Any suggestions.

 

I think that entrepreneurship is part of peoples dna/geneology.
Either a person has it or they don't.
Many would have already taken the 20 TVs and ran with it and
others will still be waiting for someone to give them the 20 TVs and
whine because nobody has set the accounts up for them.

There is still low hanging fruit out there.
