i'm trying to find a way to boost up my battery voltage, but i can't use a dc/dc in the conventional way.

i have a 12V battery (10A max) and i need to produce 24V (5A)

i have some limitations to my design, and the most important thing is that i don't need a stable voltage,
just battery voltage + 12V.

is it possible to use a non-isolated dc\dc for producing (-12V) from the battery, and the connecting it in series with the same battery to get the +24V?
this way i can use a 60W dc/dc instead of 120W dc/dc.
