I am trying a project, to convert a 220v 14' monitor to 12v.I am using led strips to convert CCFL to LED and now
I want to power the vga board with the same power pack(12V 3A) that I power the leds.

My board is the one in the picture. If I send 12VCC (dont know what that means) and 3.3v to the board will this work?
I am thinking using a converter for the 12v to 3.3v conversion.

So, asnwering to my self.

I used a computer psu and sent 3.3V and 12V to the vga board and it worked great.

for the 3,3V conversion(from 12V) will it work?

 

Without knowing the power requirement of your monitor it impossible to answer your question.

What is the current on the 12V and 3.3V rails? Can you measure them?

 

Your 3.3v regulator is rated at 800mA, as long as your vga doesn't take more than say 600mA it should be ok.

 

Why is the monitor make and model a secret, and what kind of answers do you expect?
