I am looking at this power supply

https://recom-power.com/pdf/Econoline/RB.pdf

Specifically the +/-12V version. I need to to just use to it power a split rail op amp. The overall system is powered by 24V. Since the +/-12V is isolated, I take it that I can not just connect grounds together so I can interface the two circuits? Is that what the common pin is for? Also, if I had an isolated supply, does AC coupling the AC signal take care of the interfacing problem as well? Or do they still need to share the same ground reference?
