Hello,
I'm thinking is it a problem to use a AV amplifier from Germany together with a US TV in the States. The TV will be connected to the AV amp via normal connections HDMI and RCA atleast. I plan to put the AV Amp behind a transformer so it can handle 110Vac. On the other hand the TV will be connected to the normal 110Vac power socket. I'm thinking of the risk of ground loops as the AV-receiver is floating behind the transformer and the TV is connected to the local main voltage. Are there isolators which can be used for AV amp and TV connection for RCA and Hdmi which can handle even 4k signal? Is it in general a big risk to break the Hdmi ports of the Tv or amp in this kind of connection.
