Hi gang,
I've got a Pioneer AVH Z2050BT head unit, CD/DVD, Bluetooth, FM inputs all work, audio output to speakers functioning.

The USB port on the back rated at 1.5A 5V is not outputting any power or receiving any data to output Apple CarPlay onto the display. Phone not recognizing anything is connected to it either. Have tried several cables and also made sure the phone itself outputs CarPlay on other units.
Narrowed the issue down to the USB port/circuit on the unit itself.

Here are some images of the board on imgur with captions denoting the location of the USB port in relation to the image.
Attached to this post is also an image of the piece that had charred the board. It did fall off and I could not find it. Circled is a component that looked identical to the bit that had fallen off.

I am quite new to board repair and only done a handful of larger capacitors on amplifiers before. Any pointers on what this component is and whether or not this is repairable would be greatly appreciated!pioneer usb circuit.JPG

Over-volts on jump-start? Battery disconnect while engine running? Battery reversal when reinstalling? Either way that USB controller chip might be toast... whatever, there's significant damage there that may not be easily rectified...

Could not find the exact service manual but I found something close with likely much the same USB power circuit.

The IC number IC451 aqnd USB5 matches his photo. It might be L451 that smoked.
