It's often said that volcanoes created Hawaii in the first place so residents are told to not worry about all the lava flowing into a subdivision.

In fact, most of the earth's crust was created several 1000 miles away from where you're now sitting.

Pretty sad people won't move in the face of impending doom. They're getting ready for a mass evac if the flow continues in the housing areas.
