I am repairing a drone for the first time but I don't know what this piece is. All my instincts point to resistor, but I've never worked with pieces this small yet. The first picture is the piece as it was on the board. The second picture is the piece off the board with regular tweezers for scale. It has no markings on it, so how can I tell what it is.20170630_181700_Film2.jpg 20170630_182326_Film2.jpg

How would I find out what to order to replace the part, with no ID number? Look by size maybe?
How do you know that the component is bad and needs replacing?

If the component is not damaged,
use a resistance meter and measure the resistance.
Then use a capacitance meter and measure the capacitance.

I haven't tested it, cause I didn't know what it was. I will be testing (Not sure why I didn't think about that.) Thanks for the help.

Do to the color it kind of looks like a Fuse. However it is rather thick compared to the fuses I see in board I repair. However it could be as stated before a CAP with out a Schematic it would be hard to know what you would need to replace it with. Most times in repairs that I have to do, I have donor boards that I can use to take parts when needed. If I don't have a good donor board for parts I just take what the Schematic says it should be.

With a Diode board placement I would expect it to be a fuse.
