in datasheet dell'itegrato LSM330DL TI, visible below, the dell'accellerometro sensitivity is indicated as mg / digit (page 12).

Acceleration can be expressed in units of "g", the acceleration due to gravity here on Earth. It varies with location but there is an accepted, constant value that defines g.

The meters can report a value with a precision specified. It sounds like the two suppliers use inverse measures to quote their precision, and the first one uses milli-g.
